The 'Ear Irrigation' template can be found by opening auto-consultations > selecting ardens NURSES and HCAS > click Ear Irrigation.

Alternatively add this template onto your F12 favourites for quick access.

The template is split into 3 main sections.  

Before 

This section allows you to add relevant information into the patient's record prior to the ear irrigation procedure.   There is a consent form that can be printed and note that the yellow star is an indicator that the field is an enhanced service field and so you will generate payment by adding information here **

Procedure 

Record the procedure (microsuction, syringe), one or both ears, was there a secondary care referral and any other procedure (removal of wax, dressing) 

After

After the procedure record an update about the patient's hearing, canal and drum.

Is the membrane visible?  Was a dry mop carried out?

You may also wish to generate a patient information leaflet  or prescription 

If the patient requires another appointment or a recall date to be set please click the follow-up button to do so 

The template can be completed by using the drop-down menus and tick-boxes.  

** You may see yellow stars even if your practice isn't signed up for that particular enhanced service as our enhanced service template are made available to all practices.  For more information see here
