The follow-up template is easily accessed from most Ardens templates. For example, on the General Consultation template, you will see it as the calendar icon at the bottom right of the template:

On some templates where a follow up is usually part of the consultation, you will also see it as part of the main template written as 'Follow Up':

Various actions can be undertaken from the follow-up template:

The main view - there is a large viewing panel to see if the patient has any of the following on their record:

Access the Results Follow-Up template

Reminder about appointment sent - send an email, SMS or letter.  The patient's contact details are also accessible.

Appointment ledger - this will open your appointments screen and let you double-click the patients name into a slot to book them an appointment

Free slot search and free-slot presets  - this will enable you to search quickly for a free appointment or use one of your own built-in presets

New Task and New Scheduled Task - generate a patient task or schedule a task to appear on a particular date/frequency

Recall - Click on the 'New Recall' button to add a new recall to the patient record. If they have an existing recall, you will be able to see these in the main panel. You can right click on any existing recall to supersede, cancel or amend it.

If you want an alternative to recalls for long term illnesses look at our Long Term Condition Management System

Create Reminder - add a reminder that will show on the patient's Home screen

New Letter - generate correspondence.  Don't forget to click 'new template' to choose which letter you wish to send

New Coded Entry - add a readcode

eWorkflow Template - open the SystmOne Workflow template screen

Remove from F/U - if you no longer require the blood-test follow up that is showing in the view.  There is more information about this here

Don't forget to OK the template and save the record when finished.

Note: If you need any help please click help & feedback at the top right hand corner of the template and click contact us if you wish to fill in the online form for help.
